The Bernalillo County Small Animal Show and Sale will be held August 12-14 at the State Fair Grounds. This FLYER has detailed information.

Cake Decorating Project

There will be Cake Decorating meetings on Sundays, July 11 and July 18 at 11 am. As well as the previously scheduled meeting on Saturday, July 24 at 11 am.  A list of what to bring will be emailed later.

Then, the project meetings will switch to Saturday mornings at 9:00 am (with a few exceptions).  We will be catching insects, pinning them, identifying them, creating labels for them, and working on displays/posters for the Fair.

There will be at least one night time insect collecting session...to be scheduled.

Santa Fe County Dog School

This is a 4H Dog Schooling Show. Come Learn, Practice and Perfect your Dog showing skills. New this year is a PRE-AKC class!

Open to surrounding counties. Small snacks will be sold. Proof of dog’s vaccinations is required
There will be awards, so please RSVP so we know how many Classes will be filled. Enrollment in Dog Project is not required.

County Contest Fun Day

What: County Home Ec Contests Fun Day
When: Saturday May 22
RSVP: None, except for Dinner reservation by May 10

The Leaders Association has a fun day planned during County Contests on Saturday, May 22. We have a great line-up of workshops and there will be a snack bar during the day. Saturday evening is the dinner and a learn-to-dance workshop. EVERYONE IS WELCOME to attend the workshops and the dance instruction even if not participating in the contests (Dinner is open to non-participants if you RSVP  by May 10). Come on down and learn what the contests are about and have some fun.

Pies and Pastries Project Meetings

What: Pies and Pastries project meetings
When: Third Thursday of each month, 6:00-8pm

Meetings for the Pies and Pastries project are the third thursday of each month and will be finished by county fair time. Davonna Lowry is working on getting supplies and ingredients donated so she needs a head count.

What: Baking I and II project meetings
When: Second Thursday of each month, 5:30-8pm
RSVP by May 7

Meetings for the Baking I and II projects are the second thursday of each month.  Baking I is first and then Baking II. Both projects can be taken at the same time and will be finished by county fair time. Davonna Lowry is working on getting supplies and ingredients donated so she needs a head count.

There will be a demonstration of the Favorite Foods Contest on May 12 at the extension office. This is a good opportunity for those that will be participating in the contest for the first time.
