The "Welcome to NM 4-H" (formerly "This is 4-H") workshop will be held March 6th and is required for all first year 4-Her’s of all levels. If you are a new member this year you need to attend. The workshop will be run by the County Council and teaches our new members the basics of 4-H. Be prepared for a lot of fun activities.

4-H is a journey, and every journey begins with a first step. You took the first step when you joined 4-H. This workshop will help you to better understand what our program is all about.
4-H membership is not just about raising animals! There are more than 100 projects available to you, including small pets, quilting, gardening, citizenship, baking, rocketry, leadership, forestry, sewing, welding, rodeo, shooting sports, archery, woodworking, vet science, leather craft, ceramics, public speaking, scrapbooking, and photography.
We will be touching on 5 areas through workshops conducted by County Council (4-H Basics, Leadership & Citizenship, Recordkeeping, Demonstrations and 4-H opportunities – club, county, state and national levels). It will be a fun, hands-on way to introduce all the newbies to what an exciting program this is they have just joined!
